Dr Chan is a Consultant General Surgeon practicing in Gleneagles Medical Centre. He graduated from the National University of Singapore in 1986. He was admitted as a Fellow to the Royal College of Surgeons (Edinburgh) in June 1991 and completed his Masters in Medicine (Surgery) in August 1991 and FAMS from Academy of Medicine (Singapore) in June 1997. Dr Chan pursued his further training at Massachusetts General Hospital,USA; as a Clinical Fellow in the Department of Surgery. He also had his Surgery training at Lahey Clinic in Burlington Massachusetts, USA; Department of General Surgery in 1996 where he functioned as a Chief Resident in the Department.
On return from his training in America he was practicing as a Consultant surgeon at the Department of Surgery, Singapore General Hospital and the Department of Surgical Oncology at the National Cancer Centre.
Over and above the routine general surgical procedures, Dr Chan has a sub-specialty interest in minimally invasive surgery, oncology surgery (cancer surgery) of the gastro intestinal tract (aesophagus, stomach, colon an rectum and the pancreas), thyroid, and breast.
Dr Chan was the general surgeon that was involved in a medical relief mission to Sri Lanka following the aftermath of the tsunami in December 2004.

Dr Hoe is a Consultant General Surgeon with special interest in Gastrointestinal Surgery, Hepatobiliary & Pancreatic Surgery, Endoscopic and Laparoscopic Surgery (Minimal Access Surgery). He is practising at Gleneagles Medical Centre and has privileges at all the Parkway Hospitals (Gleneagles Hospital, Mount Elizabeth Hospital, and East Shore Hospital), as well as other private hospitals, (Mount Alvernia Hospital and Thomson Medical Centre).
Dr Hoe graduated from the University of Singapore in 1978. He was admitted as a Fellow to the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 1985. He was a fellow in general surgery at Cleveland Clinic Foundation in 1988/1989.
Before starting private practice at Gleneagles Medical Centre in 2004, Dr Hoe was Chief of Surgery at Changi General Hospital (CGH), Clinical Associate Professor of Surgery of National University of Singapore; and a member of the Specialist Training Committee for General Surgery. He was an examiner for the final M.B.B.S. examination at the National University of Singapore, and joint FRCSE/FAMS Exit Examination in General Surgery. Dr Hoe was actively involved in the teaching of undergraduates, postgraduate doctors - Basic Speciality Trainees and Advanced Speciality trainees in General Surgery, and training of general surgical consultants. He was voted best teacher at CGH in 1998 and 2002.
Dr Hoe's practice include all aspects of General Surgery, diagnostic and therapeutic upper and Gastro-intestinal endoscopy, including ERCP, biliary tract and pancreatic surgery, and advanced laparoscopic surgery.

Dr Ngoi graduated from the National University of Singapore in 1981 and was admitted as Fellow to the Royal College of Surgeons (Glasgow) in1985, Fellow to the Royal College of Surgeons (Edinburgh) and completed Master of Medicine (surgery) (Singapore) in 1986.
Dr Ngoi had the honour of the recipient of many scholarships namely Local Merit Scholarhip in Medicine, Summer Course Scholarship in Sophia University, Japan, FRACS Scholarship, Singapore Cancer Society Overseas Research Scholar and Cornell Medical College, New York - Cancer Prevention Fund Research Scholar.
Prior to the settlement as a Private Consultant at the Gleneagles Hospital, Dr Ngoi had held several posts as Medical Officer, Senior Tutor, Lecturer, Senior Lecturer, Associate Professor and Consultant Surgeon at both the Singapore General Hospital and the National University Hospital, Singapore.
Dr Ngoi had also several academic attachments at Department of Surgery, Univesity of Hong Kong, Queen Mary Hospital, Endoscopic Unit, St. Marks Hospital, United Kingdom, and Department of Surgery, The New York Hospital, Cornell Medical Centre.

Dr See graduated from the National University of Singapore (NUS) in 1985 and obtained his postgraduate surgical qualifications from NUS and the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh and Glasgow in 1990. He had previously worked at the Singapore General Hospital, Changi General Hospital and the former Toa Payoh Hospital.
He was Senior Registrar at the Royal Marsden Cancer Hospital and Institute of Cancer Research in London in 1995 and 1996 in Head and Neck Surgery and Surgical Oncology. He has special interest in Head and Neck Surgery, Upper Gastrointestinal Surgery and Surgical Oncology (Cancer Surgery).

Dr Low has dedicated himself exclusively to the diagnosis and treatment of benign and malignant breast conditions. His clinic is equipped with technology appropriate for diagnostic procedures such as, Ultrasound evaluation, Ultrasound Guided Fine Needle aspiration , Core Needle Biopsy, Kopan wire localization and Mammotome vacuum-assisted biopsy. Minor breast operations such as open Excision of Breast Lumps and Microdochectomy are also performed in the clinic operating theatre. Major Curative Procedures for Breast Cancer are performed in the hospital operating theatres (Gleneagles, Mount Elizabeth and other private hospitals).
Dr Low has also been involved in managing breast disease at the nationallevel, and was a member of the Singapore Breast Screening Project and Singapore Breast Cancer Registry planning committees. He is also a Visiting Consultant (Breast Surgery) to Changi General Hospital and The National Cancer Centre.
Dr Low Sze Chuan was a recipient of the Local Merit Scholarship (Medicine) in 1978 and obtained his MBBS at the National University of Singapore in 1983. After qualifying in General Surgery (FRCSEdin 1988), he received the HMDP Scholarship (Ministry of Health, Singapore) for training in Breast Surgery at City Hospital, Nottingham, UK, in 1991-1992.
Dr Low was awarded the Alan Edwards Prize for the Best Paper at the 43rd Meeting of the British Association of Surgical Oncology in London, UK in 1991.
Dr Low has vast clinical experience in Breast Disease. He has personally managed 6,631 breast patients and performed over 600 major breast cancer operations.

Dr Goh's professional training began in the UK's London University where he held the Arthur Pike Charity Trust Scholarship. Malaysian born Dr Goh worked in various hospitals in England, such as the King's College Hospital and Royal Victoria Hospital.
His experience in the field included spending time as a Clinical Assistant in Surgery at St Mark's Hospital for Diseases of the Rectum and Colon in London, and as a Research Fellow at the Imperial Cancer Research Fund in London.
He moved to Singapore in 1981 to lecture at the National University of Singapore and joined the Singapore General Hospital to establish the Department of Colorectal Surgery in 1989, where he also acted as a member of the Hospital's Medical Board.
Within the medical fraternity, the citation said Dr Goh is "widely regarded as one of the leading colorectal surgeons in the region". It emphasized that more importantly, Dr Goh "is recognized in the medical profession for his effort and success in inspiring the researchers in the field of colorectal cancer". "It is through his leadership and enthusiasm in the pursuit of understanding and managing colorectal cancer that he has helped to improve the treatment of cancer patients in Singapore," says the NSTB citation.
Indeed Dr Goh's reputation has got him onto many speaking engagements. In 1986 he was invited to give the Galloway Memorial Lecture in Singapore. The annual lecture series was instituted in 1959 in memory of the late Sir David Galloway, and the lectureship is for academicians and practitioners of medicine and its allied fields.
In 1991, Dr Goh delivered the Royal College of Surgeons and Academy of Medicine, Singapore Joint Lectureship in Edinburgh. This lectureship was set up in as an ongoing exchange between the College and the Academy.
Dr Goh was also honoured with the Edward Wilson Lectureship, Sydney Australia in November 1995, the Harry Bacon Oration, Jodhpur India and the WG Smith Lectureship, Perth Australia in May 1997.
The WG Smith Lectureship was established in 1975 to commemorate one of the most esteemed physicians in Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital. The hospital newsletter described Dr Goh as "one of the world's leading specialists in colon and rectal surgery". The lecture is given every two years and is the most prestigious event in the Hospital's clinical calendar.
In October 2004, Dr Goh attended the 2004 Asia Pacific Surgical Leaders' Summit in Seoul, Korea, as part of his continued contribution to the profession.
During his career, Dr Goh has many of his research works published extensively in leading peer review journals in Singapore and overseas. He also contributed to chapters in medical textbooks on various topics related to colorectal cancer and on surgery.

The award is in recognition and appreciation of individuals who have made distinguished contributions to Singapore's growth and development through the promotion and management of research and development.

Dr Lim is a consultant General and Colorectal Surgeon currently practising at Gleneagles Medical Centre. He is also an accredited consultant surgeon to Mount Elizabeth, East Shore, Mount Alvernia and Thomson Medical Centre. He graduated from the National University of Singapore (NUS) in 1985 and obtained his fellowship in General Surgery from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, Scotland, United Kingdom in 1990. He completed his advanced surgical training programme in General Surgery in 1994. In 1996 he was awarded a scholarship under the Singapore Ministry of Health Manpower Development Programme. This was a one-year full-time clinical fellowship programme to further his subspecialty interest in colorectal and laparoscopic general surgery at the University of Hull in the United Kingdom.
Dr Lim is a fellow of the Academy of Medicine of Singapore since 1996 and is a founding member of the Society of Colorectal Surgeons in Singapore. He is also an associate fellow of the Association of Coloproctology of Great Britain and Ireland, and is also a current teaching faculty member of The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh InterCollegiate Basic Surgical Skills Course held in Singapore twice annually. As a committee member of the Gleneagles Minimally Invasive Surgery for General Surgery, he is active in the teaching and promotion of the use of 'key-hole' surgery in General Surgery. His area of practice includes colorectal surgery, laparoscopic or 'key-hole' surgery and all aspects of general surgery.
Dr Lim was recently awarded the Minister for Health 2005 Award for his volunteer efforts in Sri Lanka following the recent Tsunami. He was also a member of the volunteer group of specialists and nurses from Parkway Healthcare group who went to Java, Indonesia to assist victims of the recent massive earthquake.

Dr Wong is a consultant general surgeon with a special interest in colorectal surgery currently practising in Gleneagles hospital. He graduated from NUS in 1988 and has worked in Toa Payoh Hospital, Singapore General Hospital, Alexandra Hospital and Changi General Hospital up till 2004 during which time he served as a consultant surgeon.
Dr Wong was part of a medical team during operation Desert Storm in 1991 in the gulf war for 2 months attached to the 205 Territorial Army Surgical Hospital in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
He completed his FRCS (Edinburgh) and MMED (Surg) post graduate qualifications in 1993 and was awarded the Chapter of Surgeons Gold Medal for distinction in the examination. Dr Wong obtained his exit qualification in general surgery, FAMS in 1999. He also spent 3 years training in a colorectal subspecialty having trained a year as fellow in the department of Colorectal surgery, Singapore General Hospital. He was given a 2 year HMDP fellowship which was spent at the University of Minnesota as a colorectal fellow in 1997/98 and a laparoscopic fellow at the Cleveland Clinic, Ohio from 1998/99. During this time, he was awarded the outstanding research fellow award at the Cleveland Clinic. In 2001, Dr Wong was awarded the Chapter of Surgeons travelling fellowship and visited Omiya Medical Centre. Jichii Medical School where he was exposed to advanced endoscopic and laparoscopic techniques in colorectal surgery.
